NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan has created an incredible legacy as a basketball superstar but the same possibly cannot be said when it comes to his role as the?Charlotte Hornets owner. The Chicago Bulls legend was recently trolled by NBA fans after a former Hornet star made a surprising revelation. While ‘His Airness’ hardly gave the sports world any reason to question his skills as a player, the now-known fact caused fans to question his capability of managing the franchise.
Michael Jordan bought the majority of the stakes of the Charlotte Hornets back in 2010 gaining control over the franchise. In doing so, he became the first-ever former NBA player to own a team.

NBA star Bismack Biyombo was previously a Charlotte Hornets player before he signed with the Phoenix Suns in 2022. The 30-year-old center played twice for the Hornets in a span of 10 years making a pit stop with the Toronto Raptors and the Orlando Magic in between. According to Dana Scott of AZ Central, Biyombo revealed that Michael Jordan had the habit of going one-on-one with his players and would end up defeating each one of them despite being in his early 50s.
Bismack Biyombo on Michael Jordan during his time with the Hornets:
“So this was probably I think 7, 8 years ago. He would come into practice and just play one-on-one with players and just kill them, 100 percent. I (didn’t) think he could move like that.”

“So this was probably I think seven, eight years ago. He would come into practice and just play one-on-one with players and just kill them, 100 percent. I (didn’t) think he could move like that,” Biyombo recalled.
Biyombo seemingly shared it because it was a fond memory of his. However, NBA fans came to an abrupt conclusion that the billionaire franchise owner did not have a knack for selecting strong players if he could beat them with ease even several years after retirement.
Here are some of the reactions from NBA Twitter:
You know you are bad at drafting when you beat your own players in a 1v1 when you are 51 years old.😂😂😂😂

That says more about the Hornets than MJ…but then again since it’s his team it says something about the talent he picks too!

I think MJ just signs sub average players just so he can beat them 1 on 1

That would explain his terrible team building
