On Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers lost their match to the Miami Heat. While LeBron James was at courtside, he showed his respect to his former team, the Heats. Through that loss, the Lakers have dropped back below .500 on the season. With 45 games played, the Lakers are only 23-24 ahead of schedule.
It’s worth mentioning how long James has played for the Miami Heat. During the short time that James spent with the Heats, he was one of the franchise’s best players. James spent a total of four years with heat. Despite being drafted to the Lakers, Heat has played a huge role in his game development.
Taking to Instagram, James shared a photo with his ex-team as a way of showing love to them. He captioned the photo: “305 to my city!”. Additionally, DJ Khaled, Antonio Brown, and Others React as Lakers’ James Pays Tribute to the Heats.

In his time with the Heats, players like Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh played alongside James. James led the Heats to four NBA Finals appearances. The team won two NBA titles. James, Wade, and Bosh were the Heat’s best shooting trio, but they had to deal with a break when James returned home to Cleveland. Nevertheless, they will always be remembered as the best players together.
As he posted a picture of himself paying respect to his former team on Instagram. His post received many reactions. As DJ Khaled commented, “Miami love your forever” while Antonio Brown commented, “We did it we did it“. We can’t argue with these comments after seeing the Heats’ performance. The Heats hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Particularly with Jimmy Butler’s triple-double at Sunday’s match against the Lakers setting a team record.

In addition to celebrities, fans also reacted to this post with “goattt!!!”, “King things”, “You deserve at least 2 more rings bro”, “Cleveland missed you”, and others said, “Come on back to the 305 the lakers are wasting your last years”.
There were also some hateful comments such as “That ain’t yo city relax”.
In regards to James’ performance, despite the Lakers not doing well in Sunday’s match, he did an excellent job scoring 33 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
