In terms of talented rosters and squad depth, the Miami Heat are right up there amongst the very best. In addition, Kyle Lowry’s arrival has improved the team’s chances to win the NBA title. Chiefly, they shocked everyone as they played against the Lakers in the 2020 NBA finals.

Fast forward to the 2021-22 season, the Heat has an able squad to go deep in this year’s playoffs. Head coach Erik Spoelstra is a legend in the game and would look to win a championship for the franchise.

Likewise, the presence of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo would be important for the franchise to win games. Moreover, Victor Oladipo, Tyler Herro, and P. J. Tucker would improve the team defensively as the Heat has a well-balanced squad heading into the new season. All these players have performed remarkably well and Spoelstra has slowly built an incredible squad.

With the signings they made, the next question would be whether they can produce a great title challenge or will they fail to live up to their expectations?

Key matchups this season

October 22nd- vs Milwaukee Bucks: The NBA champions would start their campaign against the Miami Heat as Giannis and Co. would look to start off with a victory. Moreover, P.J Tucker’s arrival in Miami would be a story to be written about after his exploits with the Bucks, during their championship run. Hence this game would be a treat to watch. The matchup between Butler and Middleton makes for an intriguing contest.

November 11th- vs Los Angeles Lakers: With the additions of Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony, the Lakers are the favorites to land the NBA title. In a repeat of the 2020 NBA finals, the Lakers and Heat would go head-to-head against each other in a bid to claim dominance. Hence, Spoelstra would love to claim a victory against their competitive rivals.

December 16th- vs Philadelphia 76ers: The Philadelphia 76ers are facing a lot of problems with Ben Simmons expressing his desire to leave the franchise. After his poor performances against the Atlanta Hawks in last year’s playoffs, the 76ers would be looking to win the game. They met three times last season and Philadelphia took the lead by 2-1. Hence, this matchup would be interesting considering the dynamics of the competition.

March 24th- vs Golden State Warriors: After meeting two times last season, the series between them during the NBA regular season was tied 1-1. However, this time the hot topic would be Klay Thompson’s return from injury. After getting injured during the NBA playoffs against Toronto Raptors in 2019, he is in contention to return in December as the match would be filled with all-star players. An interesting match during the season.
