Earlier told to “skinny up”, Wembanyama was determined to prove his critics wrong. The 7-foot-2 center recently shared an Instagram video showing him putting in the hard work at the gym.

The caption on the Instagram post reads,@wemby THE WORK BEEN PUT IN!! It’s gooo time” .

The workout video caught the attention of none other than Kevin Garnett, the 6’11” former NBA champion. Garnett known for his intense work ethic and competitive spirit was impressed by Wembanyama’s dedication.

Garnett shared the video on his Instagram story with the caption, “SEE….PUTTING IN THE WORK!! These are the videos we want to see.. Of MFs putting in work!!”

“They don’t know my work ethic”

While the NBA veteran’s endorsement is a significant nod to Wembanyama’s efforts, the young gun also addressed his critics in a recent interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America.

“They can think that because they don’t know my work ethic,” he said addressing the concern about his body.
