The Dallas Mavericks were able to flick on the switch around Christmas to go on a seven-game winning streak. They have won eight out of their last ten games and a huge chunk of credit goes to their star player, Luka Doncic. However, like many NBA players, Doncic does not watch his fellow stars play in his off time. A recent admission by the Slovenian has been making headlines.

The majority of the NBA players watch game films and scout reports of their fellow stars in the league to get an upper hand in the game. And even if Doncic does that as well, he does not watch a lot of NBA games.

After their win against the New Orleans Pelicans, Luka Doncic sat down for a post-game interview. One of the reporters asked him if he has been keeping track of the MVP race since he is a contender this year. Doncic replied he watches more Euroleague games than NBA. As per reports from Basket News, he said, ?Not really. I watch some NBA games, but I watch more EuroLeague than NBA. But if it is a really good NBA game on TV, I will watch it.?

Doncic has been balling out for the Mavs so far this season. He is averaging 34.0 PPG, 8.8 RPG, and 8.7 APG. He is in the top five players for the MVP race this season, standing at number four.

Mavericks are finally on the right track

The Dallas Mavericks like many other top names in the league had a hard time at the start of the season. An injury to their starting power forward Maxi Kleber seemed to be more bad news for the team. However, that injury opened the spot for Christian Wood to be moved to the starting lineup and it has worked out so far.

One thing that the management needs to be on the lookout for is the health of their star player, Doncic. Recently, fans were furious at Mavericks billionaire owner Mark Cuban for not looking after the health of the 3-time all-star.

Mavs fans would be hoping Doncic remains healthy and continues to climb the ladder for the MVP award this season.
