Four-time NBA champion LeBron James has been selected as an All-Star a staggering 19 times in his career! This makes him the player with the most nominations in history, alongside Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. With millions looking forward to seeing him on the court on Sunday, a statement from the league has created havoc in the NBA fraternity.
The statement read, “LeBron James will not be available for today’s NBA All-Star Practice and Media Day due to personal reasons. James will be made available to the media on Sunday at 3 p.m. MT in the Vivint Arena press conference room.”
It is still not known exactly why James will be missing the practice just hours before the All-Star game. While some fans accused James’ decision to be an attempt to perpetually stay in the headlines, others also claimed that James might not be facing the media to avoid questions related to the Russell Westbrook trade and the Lakers’ underwhelming season so far. Whatever his reasoning may be, it is very much possible that the NBA’s All-Time top scorer is just taking a breather in the middle of a hectic season.
Here’s what NBA fans had to say about this shocking new update.
