Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have had a shaky start to the 2022-23 season with their last loss taking their record to 3-7. The Warriors were handed their fifth straight loss of the season against the New Orleans Pelicans. These are concerning times for the side as they need to pick up their form immediately. But some have not lost faith in Curry and the Warriors.

NBA legends Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce engaged in an argument on their latest podcast, and the latter had some interesting opinions. Garnett couldn?t believe his former teammate?s suggestions on the current Warriors? squad.?

Pierce had a unique solution to their problems, suggesting the reunion of superstars Kevin Durant and Curry. Pierce suggested trading youngsters like Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins in order to get Durant. And this led to an argument between the two Boston Celtics legends.

Kevin Garnett was appalled at the suggestion and argued how it would be better if the aging stars of the Warriors ended their careers with the younger ones at the helm. As it would be a great learning curve for the younger individuals.?

Pierce continued his argument by mentioning the need to cement Stephen Curry?s legacy immediately which would need veterans like Kevin Durant. Garnett mentioned that they already are the defending champions and the team can recover from the block and be onto their winning side.?

Pierce continued by claiming that Durant would still average “a dub” even when he is 39, comparing him to the likes of LeBron James. Garnett chuckled and said, ?You totally disrespecting the league.??

Garnett stated the NBA is?a ?young man’s league?. And added it would be better to polish young players than have old stars who would fade away.

Despite Garnett?s high praise, even he wouldn?t deny the troubles they are facing. The Warriors are looking at a tough season going ahead, as they?ve lost 7 of their first 10 games. Curry averages 31.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game so far.

The reigning champions started the season with the controversy surrounding Draymond Green and Jordan Poole. While it looks like they have put the issue behind them with solidarity, it is yet to translate into wins.
