NBA star Kyrie Irving finally made his debut with the Dallas Mavericks on February 8 at Crypto.com Arena. The new ‘recruit’ led the Mavs to victory over the Los Angeles Clippers by 110-104. It’s been less than a week since Irving was traded to the Mavs and the NBA guard is already winning the hearts of Dallas fans. However, it’s not just his on-court tactics that are impressing fans but his off-court actions as well. Months after facing severe backlash due to his antisemitic comments, Irving is now feeling all the love following his trade to the Mavericks.
Days after Kyrie Irving dropped the ‘trade request’ bomb on the NBA world, the Brooklyn Nets traded him to the Dallas Mavericks. The Nets acquired Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith and three draft picks in exchange for Irving and Markieff Morris.

The 8x NBA All-Star was seen giving autographs and posing for pictures while maintaining his stride. In the video uploaded by Swish Cultures, Irving was seen wearing a white shirt paired with a mustard yellow suit set and a bucket hat. NBA fans expressed their satisfaction with Irving’s trade and one user even compared the situation to that of a Superman scene from the movie ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’.
It is no secret that fans have been asking Mavs owner Mark Cuban to build a strong roster around Luka Doncic. Now that the Slovenian basketball superstar has received the help he desperately needed to lead Dallas to the playoffs, Twitterati expressed their gratitude to the former Nets guard and Cuban. Below are a few of the tweets.
