As the 2021-22 NBA season nears the culmination of its regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers find themselves in a peculiar spot. As has been the theme of their campaign, their inconsistency has resulted in the setup fighting for a play-in position. With Anthony Davis missing in action for an extended period, the onus has fallen on the mighty 37-year-old LeBron James. And although he has delivered time and again, things are looking grim for the 2020 champions.
Ever since the beginning of their campaign, the Lakers have been battling nagging injuries. One of their main absentees, has been 29-year-old Anthony Davis. Unfortunately for Frank Vogel’s side, LeBron and Davis have featured together in merely 21 outings this season.

Just as AD gears up for his highly anticipated return, the ‘King’ has been struck with another setback. Meanwhile, Davis’ latest post about LA’s success hasn’t gone down too well with the frustrated fans.

In spite of having a disheartening season thus far, Anthony Davis is always looking to succeed. An 8-time All-Star, he was part of the title winning roster back in 2020. As Davis nears his return from a foot sprain, he has taken to Instagram to reminisce his beloved franchise’s terrific triumph from two years ago. To his surprise, the post was met with frustration, as fans clearly aren’t happy with his prolonged absence.

Captioning the post, “This moment is one I will never forget, it is never an easy road and will always be working towards the next one,” AD attracted massive attention.
While several fans couldn’t wait for what’s next, some others lashed out at him. One fan in particular, claimed, “Man got more commercials than games played.” Additionally, many others told him to get back on court as soon as possible.
