Magic Johnson played only 13 seasons in the NBA, earning $40 million throughout his career. His net worth, however, stands at a massive $600 million today. Johnson might gloat about his smart investments in real estate. Having amassed such a large sum of money, he puts it to use by indulging in high-end luxury cars.
Johnson has a large collection of high-end vehicles but some of them stand out from others. One of the cars from the collection is a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe which only has 237 units sold around the globe.

Color Isiah Thomas impressed
Another jewel of the crown is a $200,000 Bentley Continental with spoke alloy wheels and a powerful V8 engine. However, neither of these two cars managed to make an impression on Michael Jordan’s biggest rival, Isiah Thomas.
After signing his first contract with the Lakers, Johnson bought a stylish 1979 Mercedes Benz SL 500. He soon grew tired of the car and sold it after owning it for one year. The Benz SL 500 was Isiah Thomas’ pick.

Thomas said, “Every summer, Magic came back to Lansing, to be around his family, his friends. And it was like, man, you know, it’s Magic, you know. And I’ll never forget Earvin had this Gold Benz. Tires, Armor All.”
“The tainted blue windows. And I was like wow. I looked at Magic Johnson as someone who made it,” added Thomas. Johnson’s Gold Benz was later put up for sale by a collector for $24,000.
Johnson didn’t just buy expensive cars for himself. He also bought a $147,500 Mercedes Benz G63 for his son E.J. Johnson.

Johnson and Jordan were quite close during their time in the NBA. Something that continued even after Magic had to retire early. Johnson, over the years, also developed a relationship with MJ’s rival Isiah Thomas. Johnson also continues to donate large amounts of money to various organizations across the nation. He also has a foundation of his own named the ‘Magic Johnson Foundation.’ The organization aims to address the educational, health, and social needs of urban communities throughout the country.
