Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is regarded by many to be the greatest NBA player ever. Not only fans, but even NBA legends regard him to be a great player. During an interview with The Athletic, Magic Johnson is all praises for Jabbar.

According to Magic, Jabbar is not only the smartest basketball player ever, but he is also a very smart person in general. Interestingly enough, Magic Johnson has played with almost all the greatest players in the NBA.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has had one of the best careers ever and has been a leading scorer in the NBA. Not only fans but also great players like Magic Johnson are in awe of Jabbar’s greatness. Talking to The Athletic, Johnson talked about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He said, “He’s the smartest, not just basketball player I ever played with, but also the smartest man. The guy is just so intelligent.“

Jabbar is regarded by many to be the greatest player ever and Magic Johnson’s words just go on to show how great a player he was.

How good was Jabbar?

During his prime years, Jabbar developed a shot so lethal, the opposition team had no way to stop him other than poking him in the eyes. The skyhook as he called it, helped him to get to the top of the scoring list.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend has won the NBA title a whopping 6 times. Apart from his NBA titles, Jabbar has won nearly all individual accolades.

He is a 19-time All-Star, 2-time Scoring Champion, and also a 2-time finals MVP. Jabbar retired with an average of 24.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
