Magic Johnson Takes a Subtle Dig at Giannis Antetokounmpo & Kevin Durant in New Post Featuring LeBron James

Last year, LeBron James was dejected because of the short off-season. He would complain about the hosting of ASG, the inclusion of play-in, and blame the league for star players’ injuries. So this time around, with a stretched break of four months (thanks to their round 1 exit), Bron has enough time to relax, which includes leisurely watching an NFL game.

Now, the world knows how much LeBron loves the NFL. In fact, there were good chances that he’d have donned an NFL jersey during the 2011 NBA lockout. On the other hand, there is Magic Johnson, always ready on his toes to promote football in Los Angeles. So what happens when the two join for a game?

Recently, the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Chargers met at SoFi Stadium for their week 2 NFL game. In a shocking result for the LA fans, the Cowboys won the night 20-17 and took home their first season win. Turns out the only thing the fans could enjoy was the presence of LeBron James and Magic Johnson in the stands.

The Lakers greats showed up in style as they sported casuals. While Bron chose a hoodie, cap, and Golden/Purple sneakers, Magic looked dapper with his smile and those Nikes. But it was the Hall of Famer’s social media caption that garnered more attention. 

After LeBron posted the picture on his IG, Magic followed the suit on Twitter and wrote, “Hanging out with the greatest player in the game today.” 

The fact that the 5x Champion ended his words with ‘today’, meant that he didn’t want to drag Michael Jordan into the conversation. But with that statement, he agreed that Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant, arch-rival Steph Curry, and the reigning champion Giannis Antetokounmpo are no match for Bron.

How else is the Lakers’ leader spending the off-season?

Only recently, LeBron James joined Russell Westbrook and Jared Dudley to show up at Anthony Davis’s wedding. He sang, danced, rapped, and did everything to make it a memorable night for AD. And on September 14th, he celebrated his own anniversary with wife Savannah.

Apart from these celebrations, the Akron Hammer is also doing all in his will to promote WNBA and posts stories as shoutouts. Then, with the little time he gets, it’s his kids that consume those hours and all that makes for an off-season well spent.
