The life of NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman was more than just his performance on the court or the team he played for. Apart from that, he was going through numerous things while playing for his team.?
Throughout that entire time, he has been very open about the struggles he encountered. It wasn’t a smooth period for him back then when he was a member of the Detroit Pistons. Aside from that, he also released his ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries, in which he discussed some of the challenges that he faced at that time.?

The premiere took place in 2019 and Rodman discussed the documentary and the time he wanted to commit suicide. The Chicago Bulls star mentioned his thoughts in an interview with Bleacher Report.?
?So one day, I wrote a note and went to the parking lot of the Palace. I had a gun rack, and I had a gun in my car. I had it in my hand,? he said to Bleacher Report. The former Bull had a difficult time going through this. One person helped him to deal with this difficult situation, and that was the famous singer, Madonna.?

As Rodman’s career and other off-court things were developing at the time, many things were happening in his life. During this phase when he was losing all hope, Madonna’s life-changing advice quite possibly kept the NBA legend alive.
According to a teammate during the documentary series, ‘The Last Dance’, “Madonna explained to him, ‘You have to establish who you want to be in this life, don?t be who they tell you you should be.’?He started realizing he could push to any boundary. That?s freedom.”?

Her advice helped him understand that.?There were many on and off-court theories and controversies generated between them. However, the singer likely helped him get through one of the hardest times in his life. Following that, he did make some changes in his life to make his situation better and look forward to the future.

As everything came together in the end, and through the passage of time, things settled down. Rodman went on to win five NBA championships, two with the Detroit Pistons and three with the Chicago Bulls, as part of their historic second three-peat.?
