NBA legend Isiah Thomas recently gave his thoughts about a statement from Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant. Notably, Durant reignited his feud with Charles Barkley a few days ago. The beef between the two started over a year back when Barkley criticized Durant’s move to the Golden State Warriors. He also stated that the forward was not a “bus driver” for the Dubs. This did not sit well with the two-time NBA champion, and he called out Barkley via social media. Amid a myriad of reactions from fans, Thomas also weighed in on some of KD’s comments.

Barkley had a few words to talk about the Slim Reaper during an interview where he called KD “sensitive”. The Phoenix Suns star hit back on social media that he would never respect anything from Chuck. The feud has been going on for quite sometime and now it has elicited reactions from NBA players, past and present.

Isiah Thomas’s take on Kevin Durant

Amidst the brewing tensions between Kevin Durant and Charles Barkley, Durant recently made an interesting statement. The 13-time NBA All-Star said that he used to care about his legacy but he does not anymore. He added that he is just aiming to be the best he can be on the hardwood. In one of the recent segments of NBA on TNT, the crew talked about Durant’s comments. The host noted KD has already built a great legacy and asked Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas about the comments and he gave his honest take.

The Hall of Famer said that only a few players like Durant can talk about their legacy because they have built one. He stated that KD is one of the best players of the generation. He added, “For him now to say, ‘Okay, I’m at peace. I’ve made my mark in the game. Now let me go kill some more people.’ And that’s what’s getting ready to happen.”

The legendary guard also said that KD is one of the few players that shaped the current era. While Isiah apparently did not have any problem with Durant’s comments, that might not be the case with Barkley.

Charles Barkley might not be impressed

Charles Barkley was reluctant to give Kevin Durant credit for winning two titles since he did it by joining the Golden State Warriors, who were already a great team. However, Barkley was not the only one to do that. Many fans do not give credit to Durant for the two titles as well.
