LeBron James is one of the most famous high school basketball players ever. While playing for St. Vincent–St. Mary High School, the King shattered almost every state record. Most prominently, LeBron held the record for being the leading scorer in the state. However, in 2015, a young player shattered James’ record. Now a part of the Los Angeles Clippers, it seems Luke Kennard is not done with LeBron just yet.

Kennard has emerged as one of the best shooters in the league playing for the Clippers. Primarily playing a bench role, Luke has set the stage on fire multiple times with his dazzling display of shooting. It isn’t any different from what Kennard did in high school when he played for Franklin High School in Ohio. He beat LeBron’s scoring record in Ohio and currently stands second in all-time points.

In 2015, while LeBron was doing a press conference for the Cleveland Cavaliers, a reporter asked him if he knew his state record was in trouble. However, to everyone’s surprise, James knew all about it. Kennard gained an early fan in the King. Now going up against each other as rivals, Kennard is going all out against the Lakers.

While he beat LeBron’s record then, now he is torching the Lakers with his dominance from beyond the arc.

The Clippers are dominating the Los Angeles Lakers in their matchup. With a double-digit lead going into the second half, the LA rivalry is currently in the favor of the Clippers. And the main reason they are enjoying a comfortable lead is all thanks to Kennard.

Going up against James, Kennard is putting on a shooting display. Compiling 14 points in the first half, the Clippers sharpshooter is currently shooting 5/8 from downtown and has put the Clippers in a commanding position. Terence Mann has added 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals to the mix. The Clippers are currently up 78-72.

For the Lake show, veteran center Dwight Howard is putting in the work. He has notched a double double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the first half. After an initial bit of struggle, LeBron James settled in and now has contributed with 19 points.
