Longer timeouts in the NBA for Luka Doncic
In a recent podcast episode of The Old Man and the Three, Luka compares playing time and timeout duration. When asked if he had to adjust his game playing in a 48 minute NBA game, he said, ?Yeah, for sure but, the other thing is? in Europe you know, the timeout is one minute and you don?t have as many timeouts.?. Luka added, ?Here you have, if you have played TV game, you have 4 minutes timeout. You can get a beer and come back you know, to play???

While it is definitely a major difference in timeout duration, Luka says that the game is more intense and longer, which balances out the differences.
