After defeating the Los Angeles Lakers in a double overtime game, the Dallas Mavericks fell short of the Portland Trail Blazers in their last matchup. The game ended 119-136, with Luka Doncic having an off-night for a change. This loss pushes Dallas to a 24-20 record, fifth place in the Western Conference. As the Mavericks lost to the Blazers, reporters asked Doncic about LeBron James and his game against the Lakers. However, Doncic was quick to shut down reporters when they asked him one question about the four-time NBA champion.

The game between the Mavericks and the Lakers had a lot of questionable plays throughout, but what was even more questionable were the calls the officials had missed, stirring a lot of drama from fans on social media.

There is no doubt that when LeBron James decides to hang up his sneakers for good, he will go down as one of the best players to ever play the game. Everyone has their own opinion about where James ranks on the list of all-time greats.?

But Luka Doncic did not want to be a part of that conversation. Doncic sat down with reporters for a post-game interview after their win against the Lakers. When asked about ranking LeBron James on the all-time list, Doncic said, ?I’m not doing the rankings stuff, man.??

?I just enjoy great basketball players. That’s it. He’s an amazing player, an exceptional player, but I’m not doing the rankings stuff,” he added.

James has achieved a lot of accolades over his illustrious 20-year NBA career, and by the looks of it, he does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon. At age 38, James is still producing at a very high level.?

Notably, he is leading the Lakers in points, averaging 29.0 PPG in the absence of Anthony Davis. There is no denying that father time catches up on everyone, but LeBron James is seemingly keeping some fuel reserved in his tank for perhaps a few more years in the league.

James has publicly admitted that he wants to share the court with his elder son Bronny James. Though Bronny won?t be eligible to play in the league for a couple of more years, it will be interesting to see if James manages to stay in the league till then.?
