Last night, the Phoenix Suns locked horns with the Atlanta Hawks and lost the game by a wide margin. In other words, Trae Young and Co. humiliated Chris Paul-led-Suns. However, surprisingly, fans blamed the Dallas Mavericks centrepiece and four-time All-Star, Luka Doncic on social media for this loss of the Suns.

Last night, the game ended in favor of the Hawks(100-132) and it reminded fans about Game 7 of the 2022 Western Conference semifinals. In that semifinals game, Doncic-led-Mavericks gave no chance to the Suns and ultimately humiliated them. The Slovenian phenomenon finished the 123-90 win over the Suns with 35 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists.

Recently, ‘NBA on ESPN’ shared a photo of Paul looking a bit tensed while sitting on the bench during the fourth-quarter of the game. When CP3 was snapped, the Suns were trailing by 37 points(107-70). The said scenario looked similar to the scenario of Game 7 of 2022 Western Conference semifinals where the Suns were trailing by 30 points at halftime aginst the Mavs.

Meanwhile, as soon as the photo circulated on the internet, fans chimed in to share their thoughts and opinions. They flooded the comment section of Twitter. Some of the fans expressed that Wednesday night’s game gave them the flashback of the Game 7 of 2022 conference finals. While some of the users blamed Doncic for this loss. Apart from that, there were several other reactions from the fans. Overall, they seemingly gave mixed reactions.

Chris Paul’s not-so-promising performance against the Hawks

Paul is one of the instrumental players of the Suns. However, yesterday, for some reason, CP3 was unable to reach his potential. The Suns guard finished the game with a mere three points. Infact, he is noted as an amazing playmaker in the basketball world, but on Wednesday night, he could only dish out three assists. Surprisingly, even after playing for 27 minutes, the 37-year-old was unable to grab more than two rebounds.

On the other hand, Young and Dejounte Murray put on a show last night. Young finished the game with 20 points while Murray ended up with 21 points respectively.
