But Doncic did what he does best, scoring 43 out of his team’s 101 points against Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.
The 23-year-old is slowly picking a favorite amongst his opponents. Apparently, he has a knack to score a lot against the Clippers. Doncic has amassed eight 40+ point games against the Clippers, surpassing Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant’s record of seven 40+ point games.?

Doncic averages 32.5 PPG against the Clippers in his whole career, and 34.2 PPG in the current season. He has indeed booked his seat for the MVP race that he’s going to experience. Looking at his performances, experts and fans touted him to be one of the best this season, and he’s lived up to it. The Bleacher Report?predicted him as the 2022-23 season MVP last month.
The MVP trophy, AKA the Michael Jordan Trophy, has many contenders this season. Superstars Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, and Jayson Tatum are some of them. Although Doncic’s case seems strong, the season isn’t yet over.

The season isn’t yet over for their respective teams as well. The Dallas side has one of the best players in the league on their roster, but their shaky performances might cause them trouble in the postseason.
