Following a trend of ‘what ifs’ these past two seasons, the Golden State Warriors are falling back on their trusted veterans once again. And with the Splash brothers and Draymond Green healthy, it looks like GM Bob Myers is rounding up the old crew.
Following 2 seasons with the Miami Heat, it’s time former Warrior Andre Iguodala came home.
New York Times Sports recently broke the news, reporting that Iggy will head back to the Bay, as he looks to end his career in San Francisco.

Twitter celebrates Iguodala Golden State Warriors reunion
Is he the same player he was back when Golden State ran the league? Probably not, but as history has proved yet again, championship experience is invaluable in the modern NBA.

Andre Iguodala is a Warrior again.
Right after he hit the dagger 3 in Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals, he was asked what motivates him to play through injury: "I like Steph (Curry). That's really the only reason I play … whatever it takes to protect his legacy, I'm all for it."

Apparently, Golden State weren’t the only team chasing the 37-year-old veteran. Reportedly Dub Nation were going toe to toe with Brooklyn and the Lakers, both loading up for a Thunderdome matchup. Does this elevate the Warriors back to a title? Remains to be seen, considering the 2 aforementioned teams stacked themselves!
And while he only averaged 4.4/3.5/2.3 last season in Miami, could a return home be just what the doctor ordered?
It’s been a rough 2 years for these players and the Bay Area fans, following the lowest of the lows after going to 5 straight NBA Finals. Irrespective of his current athleticism, Iguodala brings championship DNA and the key facet of leadership back to the table.
