After a shocking opening loss to France at Tokyo Olympics, the US national basketball bounced back, to say the least. Kevin Durant scored 29 points as the Americans took home the gold by beating France in the final.
Likewise, KD claimed his third gold medal while tying up with Carmelo Anthony for the most medals in Olympics. However, the loss to France in the preliminary stages drew widespread criticisms. In fact, Kendrick Perkins went on a rant on Team USA’s performances during ‘The Jump’ on ESPN.
But Stephen Curry spoke about how KD and Draymond Green retaliated to those criticisms.

Many pundits, especially Kendrick Perkins, criticized the team for a lack of physicality and labeled them ‘cute’ in an episode of ‘The Jump’. Likewise, the doubts on team USA continued because of the lack of team chemistry and quality on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game.
However, after winning the Olympic gold medal, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green gave some of it back to KP in an epic video.

A little fun chatter here and there.
Even though it was not the usual dominance for USA in terms of basketball ability, no team comes close to them. With the likes of Durant and Draymond Green on their roster, other nations found it tough to cope with them in the latter stages. Thus, the gold medal shut down all the doubters and KD went live to share some banter.
Moreover, Stephen Curry exclaimed how he loved the competitive edge of his friends.
