Anthony Edwards is a generational talent, and his confidence and belief in himself are mesmerizing to watch. Since his debut last year, Edwards has taken the league by storm and is on course to be one of the best in the league. But fans were left puzzled as he snubbed Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry to include himself in his all-time list.
Edwards was drafted number 1 overall in the 2020 NBA draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. And since then, he has caught everyone’s eye. He also earned his first all-star selection this year. He is the new face of the franchise for the Timberwolves.

What has also caught everyone’s eye is his confidence. He is not shy to talk about himself and he seems to back it up on the court. But it seems like he took a major step in that direction when he was asked about his all-time starting 5.
Edwards named Allen Iverson, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Shaquille O’Neal, and himself. He surprisingly omitted Stephen Curry and Kobe Bryant. But probably the most surprising thing is that he included himself in the lineup.

Remove himself and Durant, replace with Magic and Kobe.

Anyone who leaves MJ or Black Mamba out of any all Star all time NBA team knows nothing about what being a GOAT means.

People putting steph above magic and ANYONE above Wilt shows that a lot of commenters know jack about basketball, having starting 5s that have all played in the last 20 years is like saying that there wasnt a good baseball player before the year 2000, just downright goofy

For all the people in the comments crying, he knows he’s not a top 5 player of all time yet. But why wouldn’t you want to play with 4 other greats and it’s the most ant answer ever and we love him for it

What else is he supposed to say?
Now he gotta go and live up to placing himself in his starting 5.
Good luck young buck.
You gonna need it.— Chris L (@BreakingDad2006) June 4, 2022
That's a pretty solid squad, although I would go with a bigger defensive minded PG who doesn't need the ball in his hands.

How good is Anthony Edwards?
Edwards is an offensive machine. He is on the court to put up points and he is very good at that. As a rookie, he averaged 19.3, but that increased to 21.3 by his second year. And in the playoffs, he rose to another level as he averaged 25.2 points per game. He has the time to become a monster on the offensive end and he has improved considerably on the defensive end.

The Timberwolves are in a dilemma, as they now have two potential franchise players to deal with. Should they stick to KAT like they have done so for many years, or abandon the process and start it over again with Anthony Edwards? Or should they keep both of them and try to build a superstar combination like championship teams in the past?
