Luka Doncic is undoubtedly the face of the Dallas Mavericks franchise, and he is expected to lead them into good times once again. However, the Slovenian sensation requires a good supporting cast to help him propel the team to glory.

Luka and his colleague Boban Marjanovic recently joined Mavs’ play-by-play announcer Mark Followill on the ‘Mavs Tipoff Show’ where the duo engaged in a casual chat with the host. At one point, Luka was asked to detail his experience in gelling with a new team, to which he replied:

“We have a bunch of new guys, rookies, and the other guys have been in the league for long. It’s a great thing they’re just into Dallas basketball, it’s really good. There’s a lot of work to do yet but I think it’s so, so far we do a great job.”

The Mavericks obtained three new players through the draft and also made free-agency signings as well. Dallas is currently standing sixth in the Western Conference and they would hope to make a deeper push as the season progresses.

Can the triple-double maestro keep going strong this season?

Luka Doncic and triple-doubles seem like a match made in heaven. The 21-year-old talent is renowned for his knack to rack up three double-digits stats in a game, and he’s already surpassed some legendary names on the all-time list.

Doncic currently has 28 triple-doubles to his name in just his third season in the NBA. To put things into perspective,  Michael Jordan had 28 triple-doubles in his 14-year NBA career, and Luka is now perfectly poised to overtake the Chicago Bulls legend this season.
