The Golden State Warriors are back to basics with all their starters returning to the team. Stephen Curry who was out due to a shoulder injury made his return today. Andrew Wiggins, who was out due to an adductor injury made his return in the previous game against the Orlando Magic. Along with these stars, the four-time NBA Champ Andre Iguodala also made a long-awaited comeback. What seemed to be an amazing day for the fans, turned into an utter disappointment.

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Warriors 125-113, upsetting the return of the stars. Even though star players Chris Paul and Devin Booker were out due to injury, the Suns had a great performance.

Stephen Curry and the team lost to an injury-riddled Phoenix Suns

Warriors Fans were heated after the loss to a Phoenix Suns team who are riddled with injury issues. Agonizingly, it was a home loss to a conference rival. Furthermore, this was the team’s third straight loss, and all three were home games. Also, the long-awaited comeback of Andre Iguodala ended in disappointment as he was ejected for throwing the ball into the stands. Fans made sure to let their disappointment known after the game. The Warriors tried to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter after being down 26 points in the third quarter. However, the home team was only able to cut the lead to 6 points.

Mikal Bridges, Washington Jr., and ex-Warriors star Damion Lee put up a great performance, scoring 20+ points each to help the Suns. With all the stars back in the team, the fans are expecting the defending champs to raise their bar for a back-to-back championship.

Warriors set to go on a road trip

The Warriors currently have a 20-20 record, standing as the 6th seed in the Western Conference. Though the team has a comfortable spot, they have the worst away record so far this season with just 3 wins and 16 losses.
