In the first game of the Conference Semifinals, the Los Angeles Lakers tasted victory against the Golden State Warriors. At the heart of the Lakers’ on-the-road triumph against the defending champions was Anthony Davis’ stellar display. Giving his side an edge over the Dubs, Davis had added 30 points, 23 rebounds, and five assists to his tally. However, AD is turning fans’ heads for some reason other than his iconic display as well. The Lakers star has now candidly revealed an insight he gained from facing the Warriors star Stephen Curry.

If it were not for Stephen Curry’s standalone Game 7 display against the Kings, the Warriors would not have faced the Lakers in the second round. The Kings might have learned that no side is safe if they have to face Stephen Curry. Seems like Anthony Davis can relate to the Kings.

Though the Lakers are now at a minute advantage against the Warriors, they will have to do everything in their power in the upcoming games to hold their ground against the mighty Stephen Curry. The plight that befell the Sacramento Kings is not yet a story of the past. The Kings tested the fortitude of the reigning champions. They even forced a Game 7 on Steph Curry and Co. and that was when Steph loudly proclaimed how threatening it can be for any side when he is playing against them.

Having faced the Curry in two playoffs prior to the ongoing third one, Anthony Davis too is aware of the threat Steph poses. In a post-game interview, AD was asked what he learned after facing Steph Curry in playoffs. The 2020 NBA champion said, “As long as he is on the other side, you know, it’s never over. I remember we were up 20 in New Orleans.” Davis continued, He went on a run, the whole team obviously, but he’s the head of the snake and when he’s playing unbelievable basketball… Their team just never goes away.”?

Since the Lakers are now having the upper hand, it is safe to say that the Warriors have not yet ‘poked’ LeBron James. Given AD’s latest revelation and Steph’s recent heroics, it is quite likely that James will get prodded again. Anyhow, fans won’t have to wait long to see if it is the Lakers who will provoke Steph or if the Dubs will goad King James.
