LeBron James and the Lakers are still in search of a head coach. On the other hand, pressure is mounting on the 76ers to fire Doc Rivers. The 76ers took a hard loss against the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs. Joel was hurt in the playoffs, but after the Sixers went down 0-2 versus the Heat, he had to come back. After this loss, fans around the league started questioning not only James Harden but also Doc Rivers’s coaching.

This comes after Doc’s two consecutive game 7s in two postseasons. In the NBA Bubble, the Nuggets came back after being down 3-1 in the series against Doc’s Clippers.

Though Doc has only coached the Sixers for two seasons, his last couple of playoff records seem to trouble his image. If Doc was to coach the Lakers, the veteran presence on the team might brighten up. LeBron James, who is sometimes the coach of his own team would appreciate a well-experienced coach on the team.

The Lakers need to make quite some adjustments to their roster, not only players but also the coaching staff. Doc won his first ring as head coach in 2008, with his Celtics squad. He has been coaching for 22 years and his experience with coaching players like Garnett, Ray Allen and others might help the Lakers.
