Most NBA fans consider LeBron James as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The Los Angeles Lakers star has spent 18 remarkable seasons (19th running) in the league. Certainly, the 36-year-old, who led the team to the 2020 championship, remains a talisman for the Lakers despite their star-studded lineup.
LeBron’s longevity is commendable as it complements his durability and his relatively injury free career. However, the Lakers, in 2021-22, have sorely missed their floor general as evidenced by their dismal start to the season. He has already missed six games and to add to the woes, injuries have also plagued other stars on their roster.
Even now, Bron remains unavailable for the unit while another Lakers star in Talen Horton-Tucker might return to action in their next game.

The Akron Hammer’s return to the court will remain delayed as he suffers from a rectus abdominal strain. He has missed the last five Lakers games with the team losing three of those outings.
As a positive development, Horton-Tucker is set to make his debut for the 2021-22 NBA season. The 20-YO sustained an injury in the preseason and underwent surgery for a broken thumb.

The Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a humiliating blowout defeat at a home game. The Lakers were outscored by the Timberwolves with a score of 40-12 in the third quarter. Anthony Davis led the Lakers’ score with 22 points while Russell Westbrook tallied 20 points. Karl-Anthony Towns was in fiery form and led the Timberwolves with 29 points. The Timberwolves won the game 107-83, recording their fourth win of the season. The Lakers face the San Antonio Spurs next at Staples Center.
