The Los Angeles Lakers are not in a great place right now. Recently, they lost the battle of LA to the Los Angeles Clippers. Now, their injury problems seem to keep growing as big stars fall under the radar. Notably, the purple and gold have some bad news about Carmelo Anthony and Kendrick Nunn.
Melo started off the season lights out for the Lakers. Especially with his performances at home where he was shooting almost 60% from three. Although the veteran has slowed down, he is still putting up important points off the bench. However, it seems like Carmelo could potentially be out for the next game.
Moreover, Vogel also gave a heartbreaking update on Kendrick Nunn.

Lakers injury worries keep growing
After losing the battle of LA, Nunn openly put out a challenge to the Clippers to wait for his return. However, it seems Nunn will not return to action anytime soon. Frank Vogel said that it is unlikely for Nunn to make his season debut in the next three weeks, indicating that he will only be back in 2022.
As for Carmelo Anthony, he is also listed as questionable by the Lakers. Melo is experiencing flu-like symptoms and could be out if the symptoms prevail. For now, the Lakers will hope that Melo recovers in time as they take on the Boston Celtics tomorrow.

It seems the Lakers just can’t stay a long time without having some player go through injury troubles. LeBron has missed almost half the games this season. Moreover, Anthony Davis is injury-prone and is still battling a sprained thumb. Trevor Ariza is working on his return and now Melo could also miss games for them.
This is really bad news for the Lakers who are coming off an embarrassing loss at their own home. Going against the Celtics yet again, they will look to serve revenge. Notably, Russell Westbrook, who was disrespected with a graphic after their initial loss to the Celtics. However, without Carmelo Anthony, it will be a tough task for the purple and gold.
