The stage is set, and the Lakers are ready to put the Clippers through their biggest test. It seems like yesterday when the Lakers won their 17th Championship and here they are trying to defend it. All eyes will be on LeBron James as he is just a week away from celebrating his 36th birthday.

The Akron Hammer is entering his 18th season in the NBA, but he’s not someone who is just hanging by a thread. In fact, he is the man who is leading from the front, boasting a better playoff win share than anyone on the team.

What makes LeBron James so unique at this point in his career?

In a recent telephonic interview, the team’s head coach Frank Vogel had something to say about Bron. He expressed, “What’s unique about LeBron? Well, everything is the answer. Very unusual for some other players at this level to sustain the amount of time. Credit to what he does with his body, the work that he puts in, but also his ability to evolve his game. He’s a different type of player now than he was 15/16/17 years ago. You have to do that to play deeper into your career the way he has.”

On different occasions, the 4-time NBA Champion has said that he is not someone who believes in load management. When he is playing, the legend is all-in.

Still, he has definitely evolved his game as per his aging body. The coach further added, “He made a lot of adjustments, and the mental peace for him is really unprecedented in the NBA. And with what he did will bring to a team mentally. So he continues to impress and I’m excited about the type of season he’s going to have for us this year.”

But now, he has played two really good preseason games against the Phoenix Suns and is looking as ready as ever. Chances are that he will be timing fewer minutes than earlier, so as to save some fuel for the postseason.

Maybe, but his physical capacity is still good enough to make poster dunks, tear apart any defense, and play ruthlessly. Let’s see how the season unfolds for him and the Lakers.
