The Los Angeles Clippers see themselves in quite some trouble this season. Their main star, Kawhi Leonard, is most likely to miss a majority of the season because of an ACL injury. Leonard has been out since the Jazz series and might return during the late playoffs of the coming season.

However, the Clippers did extremely well without their superstar. Paul George redeemed himself from the last playoffs and proved why he is still an elite two-way player in the league. In addition, the Los Angeles Clippers found many unexpected heroes through the playoffs as well.

Incoming players

  • Kawhi Leonard (re-sign)

This was the biggest relief for Clippers fans as the ‘Klaw’ decided to re-sign with the Clippers. There was a lot of speculation about his future because of the issues between medical teams. However, they can now breathe easy. Leonard was on fire in the playoffs, averaging 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals before going down.

  • Reggie Jackson (extension)

Reggie Jackson emerged as a great find for the Clippers in the playoffs. He had multiple 20 point games that helped them reach their first-ever conference finals in franchise history. If Jackson continues that run throughout the next season, the Clippers will be a major threat on Kawhi’s return.

  • Nicolas Batum (extension)

Olympic silver medalist, Nicolas Batum, returns to LA as well. They have acquired his services for another 2 years. He is a great defensive player for them and also has a good shooting touch. He even had a game-winning block against Slovenia in the Olympics that took France to the finals.

  • Brandon Boston Jr.
  • Keon Johnson

Outgoing players

  • Quentin Grimes

The Clippers traded away their draft rookie to the New York Knicks. They sent Grimes along with their 2024 2nd round pick to the Knicks in exchange for Keon Johnson.

Apart from this, the Clippers did not make a lot of moves. Their primary focus lied in retaining their star players as opposed to adding new faces. They have surely found a winning formula with the team assembled.
