The Los Angeles Lakers likely need to switch things up before it gets out of hand. They have lost their first three games in a row, making their record 0-3 for the season. And their most recent loss to the Portland Trail Blazers just added insult to injury. A game that they arguably could?ve won but lost in the final minute due to a bad play.?

Everyone has been blaming Lakers point guard Russell Westbrook for the team?s bad start. Westbrook had one good outing in the opening night game against the Golden State Warriors. But since then, has arguably gone cold.
The problem is bigger than Westbrook
And Westbrook?s final-minute play against the Blazers already has fans and analysts around the league criticizing his decision-making. Although, the problem with the Lakers might be more than just Russell Westbrook?s ill-advised shot selections and plays.?
The Los Angeles Lakers have been undoubtedly poor from beyond the arc. They are shooting 21.2% for the first three games they have played. Going 25-118 from beyond the arc in their first three games.?

It is no secret that the Lakers are struggling with their long-range shooting. And the team?s superstar LeBron James acknowledged that. After finding out the ratio of made three-pointers against the team?s attempted three-pointers, LeBron had this to say: ?We can?t shoot a penny in the ocean.?

The Lakers have not been on point with their shooting from the start
The team had 25.0% shooting 10-40 from beyond the arc in their opening game against the Golden State Warriors. Then they shot 20.0%, 9-45 for their loss against the Los Angeles Clippers. And the Lakers shots a mere 18.2%, going 6-33 from the three-point line for their last game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
