The month of March Madness finally saw its penultimate games. The Men’s NCAA tournament has come down to the wire with only three games left to decide the champion. The women’s tournament is yet to complete the Elite Eight round. However, the Iowa Hawkeyes and LSU Tigers clinched their spot in the final four. Moreover, the Iowa players had a special visitor before they sealed their spot. 

The Iowa Hawkeyes forced their way through to the final four round with an emphatic victory against the Louisville Cardinals. Iowa’s Caitlin Clark dropped the 11th triple-double of her career on Sunday. She dropped 41 points with 10 rebounds and 12 assists to take her side to a dominant 97-83 victory.

Despite the No.2 seeded team’s victory, the players’ reaction to Sue Bird’s arrival on the court caught fans’ attention. The WNBA legend surprised the Iowa players right before the tipoff on Sunday. The Hawkeyes players were getting in their groove and Bird left them speechless with her appearance.

The two Monday night games between South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State will determine the other two entrants. Moreover, the men’s and women’s finals are set to be played on Sunday, April 2.
