The Charlotte Hornets seem to be the kryptonite of the Dallas Mavericks. Dallas has dropped back-to-back games against Charlotte, a team that has already been kicked out of playoff contention. And it looks like the Hornets or more precisely, the Hornets fanbase has managed to get on their nerves. Especially the Dallas Mavericks star, Kyrie Irving, who got into it with a Hornets fan during the game. This led to the officials taking drastic actions at the request of the Mavs star.?
The Dallas Mavericks still have a chance to make it to the playoffs with the star power they possess. But it seems as if the Mavericks stars are yet to build chemistry on the court to take care of business as they dropped yet another game after the whole empty Hornets bench fiasco.

Kyrie Irving getting a fan tossed from the stands obviously drew the attention of the media. After the game, Irving sat down with the reporters to discuss what went down between him and the fan that he got ejected.
The eight-time All-Star gave an explanation to the media. He said, ?He called me out my name. So I just had to make sure I looked him eye to eye and see if he?d say it to my face. You know a lot of fans say things to turn your head. Or say it in a crowd because they think they can get away with it.?

Kyrie Irving went on to say that when you look a fan straight in the face and ask him if he?d wanna say that again, they usually don?t. The Dallas point guard also said, ?So, he yelled it, I handled it.? In terms of dealing with heckling fans in the stands, NBA stars have started taking more action against them.?

Though Irving got the fan ejected, the Mavericks couldn?t catch a break as they lost back-to-back games to the playoff-eliminated Hornets. This isn’t just an embarrassing loss as it has seriously dented the Mavs’ playoffs hope.
Will Luka Doncic and the Mavericks make it to the playoffs?
After their first loss to the Charlotte Hornets, Mavericks star Luka Doncic was far from happy. And it wasn?t just the loss to the Hornets that caused his estranged mood swings. Doncic claimed that there’s “a lot going on” beyond basketball.

As for this game against the Hornets, Doncic did all he could to bring his team back into the game. But after an abysmal start to the first quarter, the Mavericks just couldn?t rally back, dropping another game to Charlotte. Doncic will surely be furious with these results as the Western Conference Finalists from last year are on track to miss the Playoffs this year.
