James Harden had recently made headlines for taking a $14 million pay cut to allow the Philadelphia 76ers to expand their roster. The munificent gesture garnered much respect from the NBA community and showed the Sixers star’s dedication to winning a championship. Meanwhile, James Harden once again proved his determination to make a comeback in the NBA after this recent picture of him went viral on the internet.
In the past few years, James Harden has received a lot of flak for his physique. In fact, his deficient work ethic has been the talk of the town ever since he allegedly gained weight to force a trade out of Houston. Similar allegations emerged after he left Brooklyn following the whole Kyrie Irving ordeal.

Furthermore, his lackluster showing in this year’s playoffs only encouraged his detractors. In fact, some analysts predicted that the 2018 MVP has left behind the best days of his career. However, Harden seems to have put in the work this summer to disprove his critics.
James Harden surprises NBA fans with this recent picture
James Harden took the brunt of the blame from fans and the media following the 76ers’ early exit in this year’s playoffs. The NBA community held the 10-time All-Star’s recent struggles with scoring responsible for Philly’s failure.
Incidentally, Harden averaged 18.6 points, 8.6 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in the 2022 postseason. A decent showing for an All-Star caliber player; but nowhere close to his former performances.
As it turns out, Harden’s impact on the court has declined steadily after he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain in the 2021 Eastern Conference semifinals. Since then, he has struggled to get past defenders and attack the paint.

However, the 32-year-old guard is determined to make a comeback in the upcoming season. In fact, this recent picture of Harden shows significant progress in terms of physical fitness.
Meanwhile, NBA fans had a lot to say after his picture went viral on the internet. Here are the best reactions.
Look at his calves definitely gotten skinnier pic.twitter.com/0LgRWfQq2N

Calves being skinner is not a good thing, weight loss accompanied with muscle wasting is bad 🤣 but I think the initial picture might be a bit edited

If calf size changes by a lot while losing a certain amount of fat I think it’s more likely to be that but because harden is an NBA player it’s probably angles that made his calves look smaller- they weren’t so “not” lean that they’d get that much skinner from weight loss

I am giving Harden the benefit of every doubt this season. He looks like he is putting in the work. He sacrificed some money to build a team. So now we just need to see the finished product. He gets an "A" for effort at least

People forget he’s a basketball player he probably was never actually that “overweight” lol

He looks very happy. But I really can’t see if he’s slimmer or not in this image. He’s gonna need to get in much better conditioning to prevent rapid deterioration. If not, the end is near.

Annual harden is slim post

I hope he’s dedicated and really do something but should’ve stayed with KD in Brooklyn
