In the midst of the ongoing beef between Bulls players, NBA analyst Skip Bayless has called Scottie Pippen overrated. The basketball fraternity has been taken aback by the gripping controversy surrounding Michael Jordan and Pippen. It all started with ‘The Last Dance’ documentary, wherein many argued that Jordan chose to glorify himself over the team. Following this, several teammates, including Pippen, have expressed their dissatisfaction. Things are getting very heated.

Jordan and Pippen are two of the Bulls‘ biggest stars. They combined for 6 championships, and had a great rapport on the court; at least to the naked eye. As revealed by Pippen himself, he was never really on the best of terms with MJ. He has gone on record and termed Jordan as selfish and hypocritical. With many fans coming in support of Pippen by calling him underrated, Bayless has now squashed such claims.

Skip Bayless makes brutally honest Scottie Pippen claim
It is quite clear that Scottie Pippen believed that he deserved more recognition in the docu-series. In his career, the now 56-year-old averaged over 16 points. As he dished out in his ‘Unguarded’ memoir, Pippen didn’t like the self-centered attitude of his compatriot. On the other hand, Bayless, a long-time Jordan fan, has claimed that Pippen has never been underrated. In fact, he felt that he was rated too highly by many.

In an interview on the Undisputed show, the analyst claimed, “I have had media friends of mine, who I’ve known forever, try to make the case to me that Scottie Pippen was one of the most if not the most underrated player in NBA history. And I am dumbfounded by that whole notion. Because to me he is one of the more overrated players in NBA history, because I saw it with my own eyes and my own gut feeling.” Perhaps this was Skip’s way of coming in defense of ‘His Airness’.
