Though the Lakers fans were happy with their recent acquisition, Rui Hachimura from the Washington Wizards, they believe he will not be enough for the team to change the season around. Considering the Lakers’ position in the Western Conference and performances this season, it’s no doubt that reinforcements are much needed.

Amid various stars from different teams being aimed at, the 6’5 Chicago Bulls guard has been in the talk for a long time and piqued their interest. The Lakers have also targeted players from Indiana Pacers, Toronto Raptors, and a few more but have yet to make any substantial moves.??

Will Zach LaVine stay with the Bulls??

After five seasons with the Chicago Bulls, Zach LaVine agreed to a 5-year, $215 million contract extension with the team in July 2022. LaVine made it clear, he wanted to explore the market as an unrestricted free agent while signing the contract. The dunk contest winner had previously signed a 4-year, $78 million contract with the Bulls.?

The Chicago Bulls have struggled this season, as they are finding it hard to move up the Eastern Conference. LaVine previously faced criticism in December, for the Bulls’ downfall, after signing the super-max contract.

Amid various rumors for a LaVine trade, Bulls insider for NBC sports, KC Johnson, strongly believes he will stay with the team. Johnson believes LaVine has been the face of the team for a long time and loves living in Chicago. However, at the end of the day, it may come down to business.?

Can the Lakers trade for LaVine?

The Lakers are in desperate need of a shooter. With more than two playmakers on the team, the Lakers might have to trade one of them to get Zach LaVine. A veteran playmaker like?Russell Westbrook?might be included if the Bulls are unsatisfied with Dennis Schroder.
