The Los Angeles Lakers could face something similar from their 24-year-old young starlet to what the now-Chicago Bulls star Alex Caruso did to with them prior to the 2021-22 season. Caruso demanded a bizarre amount of money from the Lakers once he became a free agent. And now, 24-year-old Austin Reaves is reportedly ready to follow that path. Meanwhile, the news went viral on the internet and caught the attention of the NBA world and LeBron James’ fans, who had plenty to say online.

According to Jovan Buha of The Athletic, the Lakers guard could be looking for a contract that pays him around $10 million or more per season. Buha delved deeper into this matter and added, “From what I’ve heard on that, it’s going to be more than Caruso money, that’s for sure. It going to be double digits.”?

But the Lakers didn’t feel like his demands were justifiable. Therefore, following that incident, the ex-NBA champion signed a four-year contract worth $36 million with the Bulls.

While Alex?Caruso was arguably a better defensive player than the current young star, the Lakers guard is quite effective on the offensive end of the court. Notably, Reaves is arguably one of the most efficient shooters on the roster. He is currently averaging around 11.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists so far this season.
