Dennis Rodman has always had something to say, be it about fellow players or about personalities off the court. The former Detroit Pistons star Dennis Rodman once opened up about his displeasure with Lebron James. Rodman apparently felt that the former Cleveland Cavaliers star was not as determined as NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Rodman, who played with His Airness with the Bulls said that James was doing the one thing that MJ never did. While both LeBron and Jordan have been part of the ongoing GOAT debate, it is evident that fans feel that both NBA legends are somewhat equally matched. So what was the reason Rodman was so upset with King James?

Dennis Rodman says LeBron James is not like Michael Jordan

Dennis Rodman joined the Chicago Bulls in 1995. Rodman was given free reigns to play the game in a way that best suited him. During an interview with ESPN, the Worm referred to Chuck Daly as ‘God’ and Phil Jackson as ‘Moses’. He said that Bulls’ then-coach Phil Jackson and Michael Jordan really understood Rodman and his game style.

Evidently, Rodman has immense respect for Jackson and his former Bulls teammate MJ. In 2017, Rodman told CBS Sports that Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was not as determined as His Airness. He explained that James was taking a lot of time off from games to rest, something that MJ never did. He stated that Jordan never missed any game and was always working to be the best.

“You know what, LeBron’s doing one thing that I always said that Michael Jordan never did,” Rodman said. “He never rested. He played every game. LeBron has the position to do this now because they need him. The league needs him, and that’s why he’s doing all this crazy s— now, like bitching and complaining and all this bulls—.” said Rodman.

Furthermore, Rodman said that LeBron’s journey to success was comparatively easier than that of Jordan’s.
