The Los Angeles Lakers icon LeBron James, and the Golden State Warriors talisman Stephen Curry are two of the best players actively playing the game of basketball. Playing against them is probably one of the biggest challenges that any player could possibly face in basketball. However, it seemed like the Chicago Bulls legend, Michael Jordan doesn’t have any qualms about facing them even after almost two decades of hanging up his boots. Recently, Jordan opened up about who he would choose to face between them while answering an ‘ESPN’ question.

Moreover, MJ also added how he would tackle them on the court even at this age.

Michael Jordan chooses between LeBron James and Stephen Curry

During a recent basketball camp QandA, a fan asked Michael Jordan whether he would take on LeBron James or Stephen Curry in a one versus one matchup. In response, Jordan replied that he would probably go one-versus-one against the Warriors guard because he was physically bigger than him. Moreover, he half-jokingly claimed he could take on Curry and LeBron at his current age too, leave alone his prime.

Subsequently, he also said he could go against the Lakers forward too but would think a little beforehand as ‘Lebron’s a little bit too big.’ Thereafter, the six-time NBA champion also clarified that James’ physicality would also not pose a problem for him as he could easily beat him by fouling him. However, Jordan would prefer Curry at his age.

Therefore, his statements were pretty self-explanatory. It implied that he still has that competitive mentality to challenge anyone and clinch victory against them. Moreover, Jordan’s remarks showed that he wouldn’t think twice before taking on two of the best players in the league even at the age of 59. However, this kind of statement against Curry and LeBron could be construed as dismissive, if made in a more serious context.

Besides, the Bulls legend also didn’t hold back in terming the question an ‘ESPN question’. MJ’s made such a statement because the question had all the ingredients of a drama-inducing First Take ‘hot take’. However, His Airnes didn’t mince words when he claimed that he would definitely beat LeBron one-on-one in his prime.
