While NBA legend Michael Jordan didn’t invent the fadeaway, he sure did own it. It was one of MJ’s signature moves that he had perfected over the years he was an NBA player. Considered one of the best players in the league’s history, MJ was the benchmark against whom NBA players are measured. So when you attempt one of Jordan’s famous shots, you have to make sure you make it, especially if you’re a part of a GOAT debate with MJ. However, LeBron James couldn’t make his shot. And NBA fans made sure to call him out on it.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been the constant target of criticism. The team has been struggling since the opening night and has yet to win a game. They have played in three games so far and lost each of them. However, the Lakers’ game against the Portland Trail Blazers seems to be the most disappointing one for fans. The team faced the Blazers on October 24, 2022 at the Crypto.com arena. NBA fans were quite sure that the Lakers would defeat the Blazers and grab their first win of the season. However, the team’s shockingly weak performance and Russell Westbrook‘s poor judgement paved the way for the Blazers to win the game 106-104.

Fans compare LeBron James to Michael Jordan

At the last few seconds of the game, LeBron James attempted a fadeaway to tie the game for the Lakers. To fans’ dismay, King James missed the shot and ultimately lost the game. NBA fans did not let it go as they began comparisons between James and Michael Jordan. Given that LeBron has been always been compared to Jordan as the possible GOAT, James had to bear the brunt for missing the jump shot that His Airness had perfected.

The Twitterati wasted no time in voicing their opinions on the social media platform. Let’s take a look at few of the tweets.
