Billionaire LeBron James came from very humble beginnings in Cleveland. His mother Gloria James gave birth to him when she was just 16. And she struggled to raise him as a single parent. He was studying in the Riedinger Middle School and there was an annual student-faculty basketball game scheduled. The teachers have never been defeated before. However, the team led by James had gone undefeated and won the city championship for its age group.

As the game progressed, the students started to pull through. Then it happened. LeBron James dunked the basketball for the first time in his life. Even though it barely got over the rim, the students went wild. He could not have chosen a better opposition to get his first dunk. Later, the gym teacher took down the rim and kept it for posterity.

From there, his abilities with basketball and his superstardom grew with him. He soon became a national sensation. After high school, James declared for the NBA draft. His hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him as the #1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft. The teenager straight out of high school soon took the league by storm. He then won the Rookie of the Year award with ease.
