Billionaire LeBron James came from very humble beginnings in Cleveland. His mother Gloria James gave birth to him when she was just 16. And she struggled to raise him as a single parent. But his skills with basketball and athleticism gave them the opportunity for a comfortable life. He first broke into the national basketball scene at a very young age. People who have witnessed him play believed that he would go on to be a great player. Some even believed that he will be one of the all-time greats of the game.

He was dubbed as the ‘Chosen One’ but that did not add any pressure on the teenager. Instead, he wore it like a badge and took the challenge. Now fans around the world consider him one of the greatest ever. James was a physical specimen and a freak of nature. No one has seen anyone as tall and strong as James move as fast and quick as him.
His versatility allowed him to play and defend any position on the hardwood. When he joined the league, he lacked a good touch behind the 3-point line. However, he was one of the best finishers under the rim with the help of his explosiveness.
LeBron James in middle school
So far, the high-flying James has over 2000 dunks in his career. However, it all started when he was just in middle school. He was studying in the Riedinger Middle School and there was an annual student-faculty basketball game scheduled. The teachers have never been defeated before. However, the team led by James had gone undefeated and won the city championship for its age group.
As the game progressed, the students started to pull through. Then it happened. LeBron James dunked the basketball for the first time in his life. Even though it barely got over the rim, the students went wild. He could not have chosen a better opposition to get his first dunk. Later, the gym teacher took down the rim and kept it for posterity.

From there, his abilities with basketball and his superstardom grew with him. He soon became a national sensation. After high school, James declared for the NBA draft. His hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him as the #1 pick in the 2003 NBA draft. The teenager straight out of high school soon took the league by storm. He then won the Rookie of the Year award with ease.

Fast forward to 2022, James has won 4 NBA titles, 4 NBA MVP awards, and 4 Finals MVP awards. But everything started in a small gym in Cleveland.
