The Golden State Warriors finally won the 2022 NBA Championship, defeating the Boston Celtics in six games. After going down two games to one in game three, it looked like Boston’s young team might prevail in the Finals. But then the Warriors did what no other team could do since March, defeating the Boston Celtics in two consecutive games. They won three on the trot to close out the Finals yesterday night.
NBA Fans and players alike went out of their way to congratulate the team and the players for their victory. This was Golden State’s first play Achilles injuries missing the last two postseasons because of various injuries to the roster. Klay Thompson was out for the past two seasons because of ACL and Achilles injuries in respective seasons.

Draymond Green had also come under a lot of scrutinies recently because of his performances in the NBA Finals. He had fouled out of three games and wasn’t affecting the game that much. But after the Warrior’s victory, Lakers superstar LeBron James had a special message for the Golden State forward.

Fans were quick to react to the congratulatory post by the King and had various reactions. The Warriors had the better regular-season record and hence had the home-court advantage for the playoffs. The Boston Celtics would go on to win the first game 120-108 to take an early 1-0 lead in the Finals.

The Warriors would make a comeback to win the second game, but the Celtics still had the home-court advantage going into games three and four in Boston. They would win game three in a blowout 116-100 victory. Then that looked like a momentum-changing victory that could alter the series, but the Warriors had other plans.
The Warriors would win three consecutive games, including two in Boston to close out the series in six games. Steph Curry averaged more than thirty points a game for the Finals and won his first NBA Finals MVP trophy. For Boston, Jaylen Brown was their best player as Jayson Tatum struggled throughout the Finals.
