It was in 1996 that the world of animation and the NBA came together, and the end result was an iconic sports comedy film, Space Jam. And who better to star in it than the GOAT, Michael Jordan and it was his fan following that helped this film become a franchise.

Well, when MJ announced that he doesn’t want to be a part of the franchise anymore, the most fitting person to step into his shoes was his “so-called” heir, LeBron James. So, Space Jam: A New Legacy will hit the screens on July 16 in the USA. With the release date just a couple of months away, Bron has sent fans into a frenzy with the new trailer.

First, Bron ended up posting the entire trailer on his Twitter wall. Along with it, he wrote, Welcome to the Space Jam!! What in the matrix hell did I get myself into?!?!”

After this, he showed his excitement and posted, “Y’all feeling the trailer today?? Can’t wait for y’all to see the entire movie!!.”

Fans got hold of a particular scene

Throughout the two-and-a-half-minute-long trailer, what caught the fans’ eyes was one scene in particular. It was LBJ dunking after an assist from the character Lola Bunny.

This was an homage to the iconic no-look pass from Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat to LBJ back in 2010 in a game against the Milwaukee Bucks. While it was just speculation at first, Bron posted a hint that confirmed those doubts.
