The 2021-22 NBA campaign has been full of surprises so far. Teams that were predicted to start with a bang, are still struggling through games, whereas the underdogs have completely taken over. Currently, in the Eastern Conference, the Washington Wizards and Kyle Kuzma are at the top with an 8-3 record. Whereas, the team he left, LeBron James’ Lakers is still trying to find its rhythm.
At first, it seemed like Kuzma left the team with a lot of animosity towards the organization, even LeBron, for trading him. However, with the recent events pertaining to Kyle defending his former teammate, James couldn’t help but show his appreciation for it.

The Los Angeles Lakers had been circling around trading Kuzma for a while before it actually happened. His inability to step on during big moments and the inconsistency were the biggest concerns. So, when it did happen, and he moved to play for the Washington Wizards, there was a lot of speculation around how he will fit in there.
However, it is safe to say that he has found the place for himself. Not only are the Wizards one of the tough competitors in the East, Kuzma is also delivering for them.

Not sure about the Lakers, but the Washington Wizards are definitely thanking their luck for acquiring him. So far, at least. And if he continues to put up numbers like he is now, the man can talk back to the hecklers all he wants.
