Throughout the past few decades, the NBA had many players who took teams out for a spin. However, there were hardly any superstars matching the caliber of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant. Hence, their inclusion in the ‘GOAT’ debate alongside Michael Jordan hasn’t been surprising. Over the years, fans and pundits have presented various facts to explain their pick for the ‘GOAT’. Nevertheless, a recent argument by LeBron James’ close friend portrays the debate in an entirely new light – setting aside Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

LeBron James recently became the highest all-time scorer in the NBA, a record that had stood for almost four decades. The unprecedented feat didn’t leave much room for debate, but the fandom has been relentless in their approach to settling it. However, one of King James’ closest ones recently came up with a new argument altogether to close the chapter once and for all.

The NBA has been more dynamic in the modern era than it ever was. With each passing season, the league has new stars and superstars becoming instant fan favorites. Although some stand the test of time, others fade away. This naturally raises questions about how players are to be rated in the constantly evolving sport.

LeBron James’ close friend and Klutch Sports Group founder Rich Paul recently appeared on a popular Twitch streamer’s live-stream to give his two cents on the never-ending ‘Greatest of All Time’ debate. Paul’s company has represented James since 2012. In a recent appearance on streamer Kai Cenat’s Twitch channel, Rich Paul shared his opinion on why LeBron James is, without any doubt, the best ever.

“I think Michael transcended the sport, and LeBron brought consistency to the sport that maintained its relevancy,” said Paul. He added, “You see all these guys on TV every day and it’s about the rings. If it’s about the rings then it should be Bill Russell because he got 11, right? ?But when you talk about how hard it is to get there?there’s an older generation on TV every day…they’re never gonna give LeBron the credit?LeBron’s been to the finals half of his career. That’s pretty hard to do.”

Paul indicated how MJ’s astonishing record of 6-0 in the finals may be impossible to replicate, but it wasn?t the only impressive occurrence in the game in the last few decades.? According to Paul, the game has moved on, such as from being either black or white. Players over the years have shown how they’re just as good, without many rings to show off, like Kevin Durant, who’s projected to reach 35,000 points before he retires from the game.

Similarly, there are many others in the game who have clearly shown their skill from a young age and are expected to be NBA greats by the time they retire.

Several NBA stars are destined to be the greats of the future

There are superstars like Giannis Antetokounmpo who have already spent almost a decade in the league while being notably consistent throughout its second half. The Greek Freak, who has been averaging 31.1 PPG throughout this season, has certainly paved his way to becoming an NBA great by the time he retires.

Meanwhile, a youngster like Luka Doncic, who has no rings or MVP trophies to show off, has become a fan favorite within the short time that he has spent in the league. The Slovenian superstar could also surely be a household name in the future, if he isn’t already.
