Despite turning 37, LeBron James has been the best player in the Los Angeles Lakers. He is winning hearts on the court with his dominating outings. However, even off the court, the King is always doing his best to promote the right things. Notably, he has done his part in promoting the WNBA on multiple occasions. Recently, he gave props to a NCAA player for emulating one of his shots.
LeBron has been a great ambassador for the sport of basketball. Not only does he have a clean image off the court, but he is constantly promoting the sport in the best way possible. Even with women’s basketball, the Akron Hammer is always one to step up. He has even attended multiple WNBA games to show his support.
So, when he saw a player recreate one of his iconic game winners, he had to give her credit.

LeBron James gives credit to Maleaha Bell for recreating his game winner
Bell is a player for the Florida A&M Rattlers women’s team. LeBron’s brand sponsors gear for the Rattler’s team. In their recent game against the Bethune Cookman Wildcats, the game was all tied up with time for one last play. The ball came right into Maleaha’s hands, who turned around and hit the bank shot to win the game.
LeBron later posted a story on his Instagram showing support for the team and giving Bell her props as well. The game winner was reminiscent of LeBron’s shot against the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2018. With arguments of the King not being clutch, he silenced all his doubters with game winning plays on both ends of the floor.
The sequence started with the game tied up at 138 a piece. Jimmy Butler took the ball for the Wolves. he himself had a night with 35 points to his name. Having the hot hand, Butler drove right to the rim and got to his spot. As he put up the shot, LeBron swatted it away and J. R. Smith called for the timeout.

Next possession, the ball came inbound to LeBron, who turned and called game with a fadeaway over Jimmy Butler. He finished the game with a 37 point triple double to guide the Cavaliers to a much needed win. It is great to see James promote young stars and give them credit for their moment. This isn’t the first time he has done it and there is no doubt that it isn’t the last.
