The trade deadline was an extremely suspenseful moment for the Lakers. All analysts and spectators had made an assumption that the Lakers would be trading a few players. Many fans had speculated about a trade based around Russell Westbrook.
The atmosphere had been tense across the Lakers organization lately. They have been performing poorly this season and their offseason trade moves did not work the way they wanted to. The Lakers have lost the last 7 out of their 10 games and come in with a record of 26-31.
The team has not been at its best. Everyone had been expecting a trade to happen. However, the trade deadline passed, and the Lakers made no changes. LeBron James had a conversation with interviewers in the post-game interview. He was of the opinion that there was no need to discuss the trade matters anymore. With the trade deadline having passed, the Lakers had a fruitful practice and everyone moved on.

LeBron went on to say, “We’re all grown men. You don’t need to come together and talk about it.”
LeBron tells @kylegoon that the Lakers didn't need to talk to each other about the trade deadline. Once it passed, they had a good practice yesterday and moved on.

Now that the trade deadline is over, the Laker nation seems to be more comfortable in its skin. Half the season is over and their main goal is to make the playoffs again.

Lakers vs Warriors
The Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors was an extremely gripping game. The game was intense till the last second of the 4th quarter. Both the teams gave stiff competition to each other, however, Stephen Curry led the Warriors to a victory in the end.
The final score was 117-115 in favor of the Warriors. This shows the Lakers fought hard, however, they fell short just by 2 points. Even though the Lakers lost, they showed some signs of life in the game after a long time.

LeBron James managed a double-double with 26 points and 15 rebounds. In addition to that, he also had 8 assists. Anthony Davis also performed well as he scored 16 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. He even added 4 assists to his stat sheet.
Russell Westbrook had a surprisingly decent performance. He was being given less time to play on the court for the past few games. He played 35 minutes today and scored 19 points. He had 7 rebounds and 5 assists to go with that. Westbrook seems to slowly exiting out of his slump gradually.

However, none of their individual performances was enough for the Warriors. Klay Thompson scored 33 points and Stephen Curry managed to have 24 points. Jonathan Kuminga and Andrew Wiggins also contributed immensely by scoring 18 and 19 points, respectively.
