LeBron James is considered to be one of the greatest players in NBA history. However, James is also known for the quotes he sometimes delivers during interviews and conferences. There is always a debate over who is the greatest player of all time while comparing James to Michael Jordan.
In James’ eyes, Jordan is divine. When asked about the meeting, James said it was a “godly” experience.
LeBron James described it as meeting a god for the first time.

When asked about his experience with Jordan in the course of his appearance at the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005, he replied:
“Man, meeting Michael Jordan for me was like…black Jesus walking towards me. It was overwhelming to me to finally meet the guy I’ve looked up to my whole life,”
James’ usage of the term “black Jesus” met with some controversy since mixing religion with basketball was not a popular idea among many fans. Jordan’s fans were affected by this comment, believing that while he does possess an aura and skills on the court that are beyond explanation, but calling him a “black Jesus” was wrong.

During an interview with Uninterrupted, he discussed some of the challenges he had as a child, dreaming of his ideal Jordan, and how he inspires him through joys and hardships. He explained that it was hard for him to adjust to the fact that they were together in the same room. The experience was unreal for him, as he explained how Jordan influenced him in his childhood.
