LeBron James has had a stellar career and continues to perform at the top level in the NBA. He won his first two championships with the Miami Heat before re-joining his boyhood team, Cleveland Cavaliers. He won his 3rd championship with the Cavaliers in 2016. LeBron then joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and won his fourth with the purple and gold two years later. His ability to win championships with every team he played has fascinated many. However, Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel hasn’t been a big fan and has repeatedly questioned him for years.

LeBron James joined the Miami Heat in 2010 and spent four seasons, winning 2 straight championships. Many called out LeBron for joining a super team, instead of helping the Cavaliers in winning one. However, he shut down his critics when he helped the Cavaliers win the championship. He also etched his name in the history books by ending the city’s 52-year professional trophy drought.
While LeBron was busy making history, Josh Duhamel failed to be mesmerized by him. Duhamel called him out in a series of social media posts over the years. The ‘Transformers’ actor even admitted in a podcast that LeBron isn’t the greatest ever.
Josh Duhamel criticized LeBron James in a series of tweets over the years
King James won his first championship in 2012 with the Miami Heat. He was the centerpiece of the Heat side that reached a 2nd consecutive NBA Finals. Almost every media channel was busy covering LeBron James and his Heat side after the win. But Duhamel wasn’t impressed by that and called out ESPN for their ’24 hour coverage of LeBron James’.
How long do you suppose @espn will continue their 24 hour coverage of Lebron James greatness? Sorry James.

LeBron left the Heat in 2014 and returned to the Cavaliers. By that time, the Golden State Warriors started dominating the NBA and won a championship in 2015, beating LeBron’s Cavs. Later, in 2015, Duhamel made another tweet questioning Colin Cowherd for supporting James’ shooting.
.@ColinCowherd when are u gonna get off the 24% shooting lebron james bandwagon? #curryisforreal

James powered the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals again in the next season, winning it this time. The Cavs faced Toronto Raptors in the 2016 Conference Finals. The Raptors managed to level the series 2-2 after losing the first two games. Kyle Lowry’s 35 points were enough to hand the Raptors their 2nd straight win on May 23, 2016. LeBron had scored 29 points in the Cavs loss. Duhamel then cheered for the Raptors and called out LeBron for having no presence in the game.
Toronto Raptors doin' work. Lebron James MIA. #RESPECT @Raptors

However, his tweet didn’t last long as the Cavaliers went on to win the next two games to win the series 4-2. LeBron then won his third championship by beating the Warriors in the Finals.
Josh Duhamel once discussed LeBron James on the Dan Patrick Show
Despite so much success on the court, Duhamel wasn’t impressed by the then-Cavs star. He talked about LeBron on the ‘Dan Patrick Show‘, back in 2017.
“I don’t have anything against him,” Josh Duhamel told Dan Patrick.

“He’s great. My problem is that the world is not supposed to just believe that he’s the greatest of the world, what I don’t think he is.”
LeBron is a fighter, and he has always accepted criticism. That is what separates him from the others. He surely made Josh Duhamel eat his words as he managed to win a championship with the Lakers as well in 2020. This is the same Lakers that is now struggling to even stay in contention for the playoffs.
