The Los Angeles Lakers‘ season so far has been filled with a mixed bag of emotions. 16 wins have given fans a glimmer of hope that good times are not far away. But the dark clouds of 21 losses have overshadowed this. As the team navigates through the rocky turf, injuries to key players like Anthony Davis and a non-covid illness to LeBron James have added to their troubles. However, a recent update on Davis has given the organization a whiff of hope.

On December 16th, against the Denver Nuggets, Davis wobbled off the floor in pain. The excruciating pain continued for days to come as the medical staff determined the severity of his injury. It was noted that the NBA Champion had suffered a stress injury to his right foot and his return to the court was left undetermined. Since then, the eight-time All-Star has been spending hours in rehab focusing on the process of healing.
An update on Anthony Davis
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski provided the NBA World with an update on the Davis situation. He said, “The progress with Anthony Davis I’m told continues to be encouraging”. Supposedly, the excruciating pain has subsided as Davis has been pain-free for a few days now.
The power forward has shown signs of improvement as he has been able to run on the court. As per reports, the next step in the healing process is to execute a few jumps and note how the foot reacts to the same. However, Davis will now spend more time with his team during practice sessions.
Woj: "The progress with Anthony Davis I'm told continues to be encouraging. Continues to be relatively pain free. He's started to do some running on the court. The next step I'm told for AD is jumping and then see how the foot feels then."#LakeShow pic.twitter.com/m8Ggb86136

Wojnarowski said, “You’ll start to see Anthony Davis ramp it up and do more with the team now back in LA”. Before his injury, Davis led the Lakers pack from the front. With an average of 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, the Lakers star looked unstoppable on the court. He dribbled with command and left fans awestruck with his game. The hope is for him to get back on the court real soon and continue from where he left off.
